We're on a mission to make public transit feel effortless.
Transitopia was founded by transit riders, transit data nerds, and product builders. We believe getting around your city should be clear, calm, and a little bit delightful — for everyone.
From a single tram stop, to every stop.
Transitopia started the way most good things do — with a small, specific frustration. Standing at a tram stop in Zagreb, refreshing a clunky web page to figure out when the next tram would arrive, we thought: this can be so much better.
So we built it. ZET Info, our first city app, became the daily transit companion for hundreds of thousands of riders in Zagreb. From there, the same data and product muscle naturally extended to in-store kiosks for malls and stores, and to bespoke passenger information systems for agencies and corporate partners.
Today we work with transit operators, cities, malls, hotels, and corporate fleets — and we're just getting started.
Make every transit ride feel effortless, in every city.
Better information makes better journeys. When riders trust the system, they take it more often — and cities, agencies, and the planet all benefit. We exist to close the gap between great transit networks and the riders who depend on them.
Better transit is better for the planet.
When apps make public transit easier to use, more people choose it over driving. With 120,000 active users in Zagreb alone, the math adds up fast.
Estimated annual CO₂ avoided in Zagreb
~5,300 tonnes
That's the weight of about 880 elephants — kept out of the atmosphere every year.
~1,150
Cars off the road / year
~88,000
Mature trees of yearly absorption
~2.2M
Liters of petrol not burned
How we calculated this ▾
An honest estimate based on conservative public-transit research and Zagreb-specific assumptions:
- 120,000 active ZET Info users in Zagreb (Firebase analytics, May 2026).
- Each user displaces, on average, 1 car trip per week thanks to easier access to live transit info (a conservative estimate consistent with research showing real-time info increases ridership 2–5%).
- Average displaced city car trip: 5 km.
- Average passenger-car emissions: 170 g CO₂ / km (European fleet average).
- 120,000 × 52 × 5 × 170 g = ≈ 5,304 tonnes CO₂ / year, rounded down for safety.
Equivalents use 4.6 t CO₂/car/year, 60 kg CO₂/tree/year, 2.39 kg CO₂/liter petrol.
What we believe.
Reliability
Public transit can't be a science experiment. We build for the 6:43 commuter.
Clarity
Plain language, calm interfaces, no clutter. Riders should never feel lost.
Open data
Open formats, open standards, open ecosystems. Cities thrive on shared data.
Local focus
Every city is different. We listen first, ship second.
Your riders' data isn't ours to sell.
We design every product so that rider privacy isn't a settings toggle — it's the default. No tracking SDKs, no advertising, no shadow profiles. Just transit info, done right.
We also believe the agencies and partners we work with deserve the same clarity: you'll always know what we collect, why, and how to make it stop.
No tracking SDKs
Zero third-party advertising or analytics tags inside our apps.
EU-hosted
Data stays inside the EU. Fully GDPR-compliant, DPA-ready.
No personal profiles
Riders don't need an account to use the app. Anonymous by default.
Aggregates, not individuals
Any analytics we offer agencies are aggregated and anonymised — never individual journeys.
